Pagers/Beepers

Although you may be familiar with the pager, it's unlikely you still use one today. Your cellphone gets the job done!
Pagers were considered small communication devices that allowed people to receive short text messages or alerts.
Popular in the 1980s and 1990s, they were mainly used by professionals like doctors and businesspeople. The device would "beep" when a message arrived, prompting the user to call back using a landline.
Floppy Disks

Floppy disks were thin, flexible magnetic storage devices used to save and transfer data. They came in several different sizes were commonly used from the 1970s through the 1990s.
The floppy disks were replaced by things we may be more familiar with today - such as DVDs, CDs and USB drives. If we're talking modern day, your iCloud storage is the closest you'll get to the functions of a floppy disk.
Rotary Phone

While these were invented in the late 19th century, rotary phones were primarily used in the 20th century.
Rotary phones used a circular dial to enter phone numbers. Each number required turning the dial to a specific position and letting it return before moving to the next digit.
These were replace by phones better known as "flip phones" or "push button phones," leading into inventions such as the iPhone and Android.
