One of the most successful actors to get his start in American film from the series, Stewart starred as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987-1994. Nowadays, he is most recognized for his recurring role as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men movie franchise.
